Program for the Blind
Specially designed tours where blind visitors explore through touch and hearing, for example with the help of a scaled model. Using their body balance and arm positions, they also experience the differences between Gothic and Renaissance vaulting with their own bodies. They touch the foundation stones of the castle and the very same places once touched in childhood by King Charles IV…
Program for Sighted Visitors
Experiential tours for sighted visitors with blindfolds. The guide draws them into the story of King Charles IV, who once lived here.Blindfolded participants ascend to the first floor, and it takes only the slam of a door and a long echo to realize they have entered a chapel. In this way, they discover one hall after another, experience what it is like to rely on a "sixth sense," and—if they are lucky—take part in an audience with the king himself. Will he sign the founding charter of the New Town of Prague?
